Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Minnesota Twins pitcher Jose Mijares will miss the next four weeks with a torn meniscus in his right knee that will require surgery. Mijares suffered the injury in the eighth inning of Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox while attempting to cover first base on an infield single by Carlos Quentin. In 37 relief appearances this season, Mijares is 1-1 with a 2.81 earned run average spanning 25 2/3 innings.

Teahen has been on the DL since June 1 with a fractured right middle finger. He was hitting .255 with three home runs and 14 RBI before suffering the injury. The burly right-hander started the inning and retired Alexi Casilla, the first batter he faced.
